Z Bonz Dog Park – City of Fort Worth — Fort Worth, Texas
The City of Fort Worth is transforming a southern section of the former Z Boaz Golf Course into a unique dog park that will also host mobile animal adoptions on a regular basis. The new drive-by adoption venue will also be a place where people can learn how to be responsible pet owners.
The 10-acre park will feature separate areas for large and small dogs. Large dogs will have a fenced, 7-acre off-the-leash zone and small dogs will have 3 acres. Z Bonz Dog Park will have canine obstacle courses, swimming holes and play areas.
The new state-of-the-art park will be an “anchor” for dog-related nonprofit groups, bringing these groups together with unprecedented collaboration with the goal to save and enrich the lives of more dogs in the community. Future phases include park benches, shaded pavilions, agility equipment, vending machines and dog wash areas. Funds are being raised through private donations.
